Description Abstract of Title to Land of Will S. Clayton, Trustee of E. P. Reed, J. L. A. Ballou (Bassett Street), dated August 10, 1897, made at the request of J. A. Clayton & Co. to parcels of land described in the following Deed of Trust from E. P. Reed to E. McLaughlin, et al.

Commencing at a point on the West line of Market Street 195.68 feet Northerly from the intersection of the West line of Market Street with the North line of St. James Street; thence at right angles Westerly 192.90 feet to San Pedro Street; thence Northerly along the East line of San Pedro Street, 50 ft; thence at right angles Easterly 192.90 feet to the West line of Market Street; thence Southerly along said line of Market Street, 50 feet to the place of beginning.

Also, commencing at the intersection of the West line of San Pedro Street with the South line of Julian Street; thence Westerly alon ghte South line of Julian Street, 120 feet; thence at right angles Southerly 50 ft.; thence at right angles Easterly 120 feet to the West line of San Pedro Street; thence along the said line of San Pedro Street, Northerly 50 feet to the place of beginning;

Also, commencing at a point on the Southerly line of Julian Street, distant 255 feet Westerly from the Westerly line of San Pedro Street; and running thence Westerly along said line of Julian Street, 167 feet to land belonging to the City of San Jose; thence at right angles Southerly along the East line of said land of said City, 245.66 feet to the Northerly line of Divine Street; thence Easterly along said line of Divine Street, 117 feet; thence at right angles Northerly 120.66 feet; thence at right angles Easterly 50 ft. and thence at right angles Northerly 125 feet to the point of commencement.

Also, commencing at a point on the Southerly line of land of the Southern Pacific R. R. Co. distant 862 1/2 feet Westerly from the West line of Terraine Street; and running thence Westerly along said line of said R. R. Company's land, 450 1/2 ft, more or less, to the center of the channel of the Guadalupe River, as it existed on the 1st of March, 1862; thence up the centyer of said channel of said river, following is meanderings to the North line of the land of J. Q. A. Ballou; thence Easterly along said line of land of Ballou, to a point on a line drawn at right angles to the first described line from the point of commencement; and thence Northerly along said line to the point of comnecment.
