|Description||Report of the Select Committee organized to negotiate the sale of Market Square to the County of Santa Clara as a site for the erection of county buildings. J. W. Redmond acting on behalf of the County. If City gives to him fee simple deed to Market Square and the State House and lot, the County will keep bounded streets at eighty-five feet, continue San Antonio Street through the Square, pay to build a jail and to repair the State House. The County will allow the City to use the jail until it builds its own. County will pay debt and interest due upon the State House. J. W. Redmond.|
