Description Matching shirtwaist and skirt in pale yellow, semi-sheer silk (or cotton-linen, or cotton-silk blend) with woven ivory pinstripe.
A: Shirtwaist with long sleeves, puffed between elbow and wrist; large 3 1/2" wide, pointed cuffs, yoke made of diagonally-pointed, overlapping, top-stitched bands, directional knife pleats down center front. 1" wide band collar. Front fastens with snaps under the edge of a pleat; back has a V-shaped yoke w/o the pleated band design, and has opposing directional knife pleats to the waist, stitched down. Thread loops for skirt hooks at center back waist and side seams. Pointed band motif from front yoke trims the upper sleeves, cuffs, and skirt. Shirt waist has fitted waistband on the outside, with the edge of the shirtwaist extending only about 2 inches below the waistband.
B: Matching skirt, in 6 gores, with diagonal points and 3 directional knife pleats under each point, at knee-level, on each gore of the skirt. Knife pleats face towards center front, and release at knee-level, flaring the skirt from the knee to the hem. Metal hooks at back waistline.
