Description |
This book was donated to Clyde Arbuckle in 1963 by retired teachers, with the following letter: "On behalf of the retired teachers of Theodore Roosevelt Junior High School I am happy to present this "Guest of Honor Book" to the Historical Society of Santa Clara County. The book was constructed by Miss Mira Shearer, presently retired from our faculty. Students in the home room class of Miss Tosca Woehler contributed the money to buy the material necessary for the book and the information and signatures were kept up to date by Miss Tosca Woehler. You no doubt are aware that the Theodore Roosevelt Junior High School auditorium was used for most of the civic programs up to the time that our present civic auditorium was completed. Great artists from various entertainment fields appeared in Theodore Roosevelt Jr. Hi auditorium and we are happy to have included in this book comments and signatures from many of these artists. I have taught at Theodore Roosevelt Jr. Hi for 34 years and have had the pleasure of seeing and hearing many of these celebrities. The book is presented with a request that it be displayed in a location where many individuals may enjoy viewing it."
